Carol and I have been through a lot of Christmas’s together. So much so, there are no surprises anymore. That kind of takes the fun out of presents, but it does make things easier because if you get the item you really wanted, there are no returns after Christmas. Usually, we just tell each other what we want, get it ourselves, and then have the other person wrap it.
This year I am looking at an add-on to my Mitre Saw called Reekon M1 Caliber Measuring Tool. Here is what it looks like.
It attaches to the Mitre Saw fence. After it is calibrated for your saw, all you do is run a board under that wheel hanging down. The length of the board shows in that little window. You run the board to get the length you want, then cut it with the Mitre Saw blade.
This device makes measuring and cutting boards easy. It especially excels at repeatable cuts. Most woodworking projects have several parts that are the same length and width, which requires repeatable cuts. Hopefully, this device will make that easier to do.
