I have progressed in the construction of my Entry Table to the installation of the bottom shelf. The bottom shelf is installed with pocket screws into the lower portion of the table legs.
There is only one problem with that installation. You insert pocket screws with a drill and special drill bit. However, the space available for attaching the shelf is small. A typical drill will not fit in that space. Enter the Kreg 90º Pocket Hole Driver. Here is what it looks like.
You insert the long end into the drill and the pocket screw bit fits in the 90º end. When you press the trigger on the drill, it activates a mechanism inside the device to turn the bit and pocket screw. It would seem Kreg thinks of everything.
I have not used this device yet, but it gets good reviews. I will just have to see how this goes.
