I just watched a video on YouTube where the participants were saying that email is a dead medium. They mentioned other avenues of communication that they used instead. I don’t know about you, but I have used email for years and continue to use it for several things.

I did a little research on email. Here is one set of statistics that I found.

In the United States, 89.45% of individuals aged 15 and older use email, with usage rates above 90% across most age groups (15–24, 25–44, and 45–64), dropping slightly to 84.1% for those over 65. Email remains a dominant communication channel, with over 4.5 billion users worldwide in 2025, expected to grow to over 4.85 billion by 2027

That really surprised me. I did not know email was that popular these days. It really is a versatile form of communication. That is why so many people use it even though it is considered an older form of communicating, old tech.

While we are on the subject. Email Apps is one reason why I came back to using macOS. There are a plethora of email Apps to choose from with varying features. Lately, I have decided to move my email workflow back to Hey Mail. I know, I am crazy, but it is working well for me. The price is worth the added security, privacy and overall excellent workflow.
