If you live in snow country, then you experience something called “seasons”. Moving from California to Colorado, the different seasons of the year take on a new meaning. Fall and Spring can either be early or late Winter, or they can actually be real Fall and Spring.

The thing about living in an area that has real seasons, you are glad to see each one approach. Winters here are cold, snowy and icy. When they are over, you are glad to see Spring, a little warmth and sunshine. When Spring rains are over, you are glad for the true warmth of Summer and a yard in full bloom. When Fall approaches, you are glad to be out of the heat with less yard work. When Winter arrives, you are glad to see the snow. It really is beautiful, especially if you do not have to drive to work in it!

Having real seasons can be difficult in some ways, but deep down we appreciate the changes. We are in Summer now and it is pretty hot, but not like some places of course. I am looking forward to when I can shutdown the yard in the Fall which brings cooler temperatures and beautiful Fall color. If you live in an area of the country with real seasons, try to make the best of them and enjoy what is good about each one.
