Most homeowners don’t need a chainsaw. They might need clippers and other tools to trim shrubs, but a chainsaw is usually more than what’s needed for most yard work.
Our house sits on ¾ of an acre. We have many trees and bushes. Occasionally, one of our trees will die. This past winter, we lost three small Aspen trees in the backyard. They are definitely dead. You could cut them down by hand, but I prefer to use my Ego chainsaw. Here is a photo of it.
I just required a 16” bar, so it’s not a giant saw. As you can see, it uses the same battery as my Ego leaf blower and weed eater. It has a chain adjustment, and it does need chain oil. But, not having to use oil, gas, or an electrical cord to run it is a considerable plus!
The Ego saw made short work of cutting down these small, dead trees and then cutting them up for disposal.
