America just celebrated its 250th anniversary of freedom! We’ve certainly had our share of challenges, but the core idea of freedom that America was built on has stayed strong. I’ve been in America for 80 years, and it’s been a true privilege and blessing to be part of it all.
I think America isn’t always seen in the best light around the world. Many countries have a negative view of us, and we’ve certainly contributed to that perception. However, I believe some of that negative opinion might be shifting, and here’s why.
As I’m writing this, the world soccer championships are kicking off in the USA! I’ve heard from a few different places that when soccer fans from all over the globe arrive, they’re often quite surprised. Many of them mention that what they’ve heard about the USA isn’t accurate, especially when it comes to the people.
Hopefully, these folks will take that good opinion back home to their countries and the world’s view of our country will improve.
