I am 80 years old and genuinely grateful for the blessing God has granted me in living this long. Yet aging brings its challenges, and certain limitations become part of daily life. Some activities from the past are no longer possible because physical strength has changed. Among these is travel.
Long drives have grown quite challenging for me. I can still handle driving well enough, but I prefer to avoid extended distances. Traveling by air is also demanding. My wife and I recently flew to another state to see family. Because I am a large man, I do not fit comfortably in airplane seats. The trip was not pleasant at all. Every flight faced delays for various reasons. Flying is difficult, at least for me.
Moving around locally is straightforward. However, traveling long distances to other places has grown difficult for me. I simply prefer not to do it.
