I am so happy to be back on, what I call, regular email. In my previous article on Hey Email, I mentioned returning to the regular email workflow. I have been on that workflow for a while, and I am really liking it.

I have deleted some folders and created others. Furthermore, I rearrange things in the App and change settings to suit my needs. It is just a pleasure to do email this way.

Since I have returned to a regular email workflow, I have reevaluated my email Apps. I decided to go back to using the macOS Mail App. The Mail App has come a long way over the past few years. It is almost at feature parity with many other Email Apps in macOS. The only thing it lacks is a good “Snooze” feature. Apple implemented a workaround using Reminders, but it is very awkward. It is not a “Snooze” feature. I created my own workaround for now. I hope Apple will incorporate a true “Snooze” feature in the Mail App soon.

So, why use the Apple Mail App. The Mail App is tightly integrated into the macOS. Many other Apps and macOS processes automatically default to the Mail App. That really is a handy convenience. It just works, which makes things seamless. Moreover, there are many ways to configure it to your way of doing things. There are numerous settings.
