OK, I admit I am a bit obsessed with databases. My databases are basic things like movies, vehicle repair invoices, library list and a few others. In days gone by, I have used the Ninox (neenox) database system. I went away from it, but have recently returned to using it. Ninox is a German company.
Ninox is expensive, it cost $150 per year. It is a very sophisticated platform with Apps in iOS, iPadOS, macOS, Windows and Android. You can run their system almost anywhere, including accessing your files in a web browser. That is one of the reasons I returned to Ninox. I can access my files on my Mac, iPad and in a browser window if I am traveling because they are in the cloud. I do not like using cloud systems, but Ninox has excellent security.
Their system is very sophisticated. You can construct almost any kind of database to run your stuff. You can access it almost anywhere. Here is what one of my databases looks like.
This is a software database. Software is listed on the left. When you click on an item, the information appears in a slide out window on the right. The license is stored in the bottom of the window.
You can have several tables in a database that are connected to each other in a relationship. You can also do formulas if you have that ability. It is a powerful database solution. Many people and companies are moving away from standalone database Apps like Access or Filemaker to online systems like Ninox or Airtable. They are powerful and easily accessed by many people online rather than standalone Apps.
All of my databases are moved into Ninox. I will be using it for database development going forward.
