I did some final sanding on the Entryway Table and attached the top today. To achieve that, I placed the table-top upside down on some work benches and then centered the base on it. I had already inserted the Kreg holes in the base. The top was attached to the base with kreg screws, no glue. Here is what the table looks like at this point.
I sanded a scrap piece of the Cherry wood and applied some wipe on Polyurethane. It is important to see ahead of time what your finish is going to look like. I will apply another layer of poly to the test piece in a day or so. The only thing left to do on this project is a little final touchup sanding and then apply the finish.
