Most years we take a short vacation to Estes Park, Colorado. It is about 2 ½ hours from our home by car. Estes Park is a very touristy place, but it is beautiful up there. It sits at the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, which is one of the main attractions in the area. Here is a photo of Bear Lake, a very popular attraction.
This is the first year we have been there in the snow, it was beautiful, but a little difficult to navigate on foot.
I am 80 years old. The older you get, travel seems to get more difficult. We always have a great time up there, but the driving to and from is getting harder. Especially if you have to drive through the Denver, Colorado are. It is just a mess.
However, I am glad I can still do a trip like this at my age. I have to stop a few times along the way, but I can still do the driving, which is good. The place we stay is great, even though the sleeping arrangements are not the greatest for me. Hopefully, we can make this trip next year, we will see how it goes.
