Our yard is three quarters of an acre. That is a lot of property to manage, but seem to do OK with it. We have many trees, shrubs and other vegetation. We try to have a bird and Bee friendly yard.
We put out bird feed during the cold months when insects are missing. When it gets warmer, we cut out the feed because we want the birds to eat the bugs. We also have two bird baths. Birds need and love that water.
As far as the bees go, they can get some water as well. We have several plants and flowers that are Bee friendly. They bloom and flower at different times of the year, which is great for the bees.
We enjoy the yard at different times of the warmer months. But, are always glad for the respite from yard work the colder months provide.
