When the weather improves, things can get very busy. I try to pace out the things I need to do during the spring, summer and fall months. However, sometimes things pile up, which can be unnerving.
If you are an old person like me, there are the usual doctor visits. At least two a year for physicals, but usually others are needed for various ailments. Then, there are the usual summer projects like staining the deck and fixing other things that have deteriorated during the winter months. Of course, if you are a woodworker like me, you are trying to complete some type of project while you work on all this other stuff. Lastly, there is always yard maintenance which is never ending until it begins to get cold again and the yard shuts down. Mix in all the family events, church and other activities, you can stay pretty busy.
So, being retired is a very busy proposition. But, it is all fun (well most of it is anyway) and just part of life. Over the years, you learn how to juggle the various activities in the best way to get things done.
