I’ve been using Apple’s Magic Mouse for years. While newer versions are better than older models, they’re a different mouse altogether. You can perform gestures on the top of the mouse that work in macOS. It’s not for everyone, but many people enjoy it.
A few macOS power users prefer using a Logitech MX3 or MX4 mechanical mouse. I own an MX3 and have been using it for a few months now. It’s an excellent mouse with numerous buttons and impressive capabilities. While it’s a sophisticated mouse, it may not be suitable for basic Mac users.
Despite using the MX3 for several months, I’ve reverted to using the Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad. The primary reason is my fondness for the swipe navigation feature. I missed using the swipe function to navigate in macOS and the Safari web browser. It’s incredibly convenient and intuitive.
I own a Logitech MX3 mouse, but I’m sticking with the Magic Mouse or Trackpad for the foreseeable future. The muscle memory I’ve developed for them is too strong to overcome.
