If you do woodworking for any length of time, you accumulate many wood scraps. These are pieces leftover from different woodworking projects. Most of my projects use hardwood, so most of my wood scraps are hardwood.
Sometimes, in the morning, I like to sit in a comfy chair, drink a cup of coffee while talking to my wife. The only place to sit my coffee during this time is either on the floor or a nearby counter that is a stretch to reach. For that reason, I decided to build a small table that would sit near the chair just for this purpose.
It took a while, but I did find a nice piece of red oak and four red oak leg wood scraps in my waste pile. These will do nicely for that table. This will not be a fancy table, but very basic. It should work, though.
I plan to start on this little table this week. We will see how it goes. I do not have any formal plans. I am trying to think of something in my head.
